Prison Ministry

Our mission and call is to show Christ’s love to as many inmates in as many prisons as we can, by coming alongside them and supporting them by working in partnership with the prison Chaplaincy teams and co-workers.

By giving every inmate the opportunity to explore the Christian faith through #CST and find freedom in Christ.

Simon

In many of the 141 prisons in the UK, In his 20yrs as a Christian, Simon has told his story and delivered the Gospel message.

He has visited Young Offenders Institutions, Women’s Prisons and Adult men's prisons, seeing many respond to the challenge to accept Jesus into their lives.

Last year, Simon worked with the Prison Chaplins in HMP Bure and HMP Highpoint North and South.

Around 80% of all male inmates have struggles with their fathers some not knowing who they were. We have adapted the Bold Encounter for prisons and we have seen men set free, once they know their identity in Christ. 

Ben

Ben has spent over 4 years in prison fellowship where he served on the chaplaincy team in Belmarsh, preaching and sharing the gospel, seeing many come to have a closer walk with Christ and see the power of God strengthening them to be bolder in there faith, also seeing how the scripture carried the inmates through there journey.

Much of the New Testament was written from a prison cell - many characters in the Bible experienced imprisonment such as Joseph, Samson, Daniel, John the Baptist, Peter, James, Paul and even Jesus Himself. 

As of June 2023, there were 95,526 people in prison, 85,851 in England and Wales, 7,775 in Scotland, and 1,900 and in Northern Ireland.

As of now 2024, there are 83,128 men and 3,253 women in prisons in England and Wales.

Mission Impossible

We aim to send 50 of our 'Pocket Size' John's Gospels into every prison in the UK, and beyond. This will involve a cost to us of around £100 a prison - Are you able to partner with us by sowing a financial seed and we will tell you which prison your donation has helped spread the Gospel.
